It makes compaction automatic, adds support for cross-region table replication, and continues to refine and extend the idea that a table should be a first-class data primitive that sits alongside objects as a way to build applications. Today we have over 2 million tables stored in S3 Tables and are seeing all sorts of remarkable applications built on top of them.
